On the Third Day of Christmas....

This weekend we were off to Georgetown to celebrate Christmas with Gamma, Grandpapa, Jack, Miles, Wendi, Shannon (Wendi's fiancee), and his daughter, Haley. We had a nice BBQ dinner at Duke's Smokehouse on Saturday evening then went back to Wendi's beautiful home for opening presents. Jack and Miles knew instantly that one of their presents from us was a hop-a-long ball. No matter how you wrap it it's hard to disguise a big ball! They seemed to enjoy it and Miles was even able to make his bounce a few times. Aidan also got one for Christmas but his legs are still a little bit too short to make it work. I'm sure it won't be long, though! Olivia and Aidan both got little kennels with stuffed animals inside to take care off. Olivia's pet shop came with grooming supplies and Aidan's came with vet supplies. I got lots of pretty home decor things that Wendi found in Fredicksburg this year and Jeff got a Best Buy gift certificate.

The kids played together all day on Sunday. Olivia and Haley had fun together - finally a girl cousin! ;) Haley was so helpful. She helped Olivia get her shoes and socks on before we left and even took her to the potty for us. Olivia held her hand and wanted to do everything with Haley.

On our way back home Sunday night a state trooper decided to pull us over to welcome us to the area. ;) (Grandmother, you're going to love this!!!) Of course, he was wearing his state trooper uniform and hat so when he came up to the window Aidan got really excited and said, "Hey, Cowboy!" He said it a few more times and Jeff & I were trying to suppress our giggles. The trooper never gave any sign of whether or not he heard Aidan but we did manage to get away with just a warning. :)
